Hiking up Sulphur Mountain

Yesterday Ron and I decided to go for a drive to Banff. We've always wanted to hike to the top of Sulphur Mountain, so we thought we'd give it a try. It took us 2 hours with a few stops along the way. What an absolute BEAUTIFUL hike that was. The top third was a bit tricky because of all the snow, but WE MADE IT! Yahoo! We sat in the restaurant and enjoyed a nice lunch, then we took the gondola ride down.

On our way back to Calgary, we turned into Peter Lougheed campground to look up Arn and Teresa who are camping there this week-end. As it turned out, they arrived late, so we didn't get to visit very long. We saw so many animals today. Unfortunately, my batteries died on my camera, so we didn't get pictures of all of them. We saw....Big Horn sheep, 2 Moose, lots of Deer, Elk, and goats. We were pretty tired when we hit the pillow, but we sure had a great day!
